Recent Country Carlson 240 Tunnel Review: "We booked the place for 5 nights, wanted 6 but they were all booked up that Friday and we got the King suite. We loved it! We have 2 children, 9 and 12, so the ability to have the 2 rooms was just perfect. Very clean and comfortable, the beds are just right, and the decor is updated, fairly new place. The pool is small but heated and nice, with a hottub in the same room. You also get free cookies, apples and bananas anytime you want, and the free breakfasts make it a better value than most. Every day this includes a form of egg, eg.omelet, scrambled, or hard boiled, biscuits, gravy, sausage, and waffles as well as cold foods. Our room had the fridge and microwave (we never ended up using the microwave), but the fridge came in handy to keep cold drinks and coldcuts. 2 tvs were good so my husband and I could watch our movie while the kids watched Disney channel. You get a ton of big fluffy pillows on your bed and the service upfront and by housekeepers is great. The upfront gang was helpful in giving directions to nearby sites and when we asked to have our luggage held in hotel for a few hrs. (on Friday, transferred to a new hotel), they were more than accommodating. This was one of the nicest hotels we've been to, maybe not quite as luxurious as the 4 star hotels and doesn't have an onsite restaurant, but certainly modern, clean and comfortable. Also, the place is very close to a mall and several good restaurants, convenient to downtown and the interstate. We will certainly be back and recommend to all our friends!"
