Recent Country Carlson West Nc Review: "Fully agree with the below comment entitled: "STAY HERE! You won't regret it". This was also my husband's & my 1st stay at a Country Inn. Everything was great, and the hotel was brand spanking new (= nice feel & decor in both the main lobby, inside the rooms, & the surrounding property)! . The room decor was tasteful, clean and had a touch of luxury  (nice, wooden bed; nice toiletries provided). The rooms were attractive & large, the morning breakfast was (overall, good (not great), with nice food selection), and yummy chocolate chip cookies, coffee & fruit provided all day long. Particularly, the hotel staff (the 2 ladies working the afternoon shift) were exceptionally helpful in providing answers and suggestions to our questions about things to do & places to visit in the surrounding Asheville area. There was also FREE wifi for all guests (nice!), free printer and computer use in the business center. The pool and jacuzzi were small but still new & nice. The location is about 5 miles (10 min. drive) equally from downtown Asheville (1 direction) and the Biltmore House (opposite direction). Don't be fooled or put off by this "remote" location, it's really not very remote, and makes for a nice, quite, "get-away" feel from the hustle & bustle of downtown Asheville! (it's right off of the interstates so that makes for a quick drive to anywhere nearby, including the Blue Ridge trail & many hiking/biking paths!). Definitely stay here! You won't be disappointed and should very much enjoy this hotel, and your stay! Also, for the price, you get a LOT and really can't go wrong! Enjoy!"
