| My sister and I were visiting Asheville to tour the Biltmore. Couldn't have picked a more convenient hotel -- right next door. Also, it was within walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc.
The hotel/room was clean, and the staff was helpful when we asked for directions to places in the city. |

| Nice the receptionist provided sellections for treats from easter egg basket and a warm chocolate cookie.
Only problem with room was that the shower handle was broken. Reported it to receiptionist so hopefully it was reported. Room 509 |

| We had a wonderful stay at the doubletree. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed having the balcony room. It was a very pretty view of the courtyard below. We had no trouble with the hot water as someone had stated in an earlier review I read. The shower head was very nice and 3 women had plenty of hot water to take a great shower every morning. The location could not be better for a visit to Biltmore Estate. I will stay here again this spring when I am planning another trip! |

| There's a convenient Friday's restaurant adjacent to the hotel. You can even go there without going outside. I overheard a front desk clerk telling a new arrival guest that if you show your hotel key to the waiter at Friday's, you would get 20% off of the check. We were never told that, and our bill was $52.00 and could have used the 20% off. The waiters at Friday's knew we were staying at the hotel, but did not reveal this information either. The front desk said that only Friday's could adjust our bill, but when we were leaving the hotel, Friday's was not yet open for the day. |

| lobby was cold no heat towel rack broken room dark no fridge really not at all what I expected for the price; personnel friendly but hotel in need of updating does not compete with other 7 hotels we stayed at which were less money with more modern conveniences |

| Overall a very nice hotel, the only negatives were the dated air conditioner and overwhelming fabric softener smell and oily-ness on the sheets. The room was a lithe warm the first night until it had time to cool the room down and I wish the hotel wouldn't use fabric softener sheets in the dryer. It really makes the sheets greasy and too smelly. |

| We had a great stay. Front desk staff was tops. 6 highway miles from Biltmore Estate so the name is misleading. Room was small but pretty clean. Easy parking. Lots of kid friendly restaurants only seconds away--a big plus for me. |
