| Smaller room than expected for the price. We did not find a book for the hotel in the room as you normally expect (description of hotel, amenities, hotel facilities). |

| Within easy walking distance of all of downtown Asheville. Convenient parking. Rooms at end of corridor are on small side. Lobby recently renovated, bar is small. Seems like a good space for groups & meetings. |

| The location was great, the hotel lobby and beautiful. Our room was nice, I will not say great because of the outdated carpet and our bath tub had a few issues. But overall our stay was nice, it was great to be able to walk every where. We will probably stay there again in the near future. It was well worth the price. |

| When the clerk is rude to you, it might be a sign to turn around. the hotel was continuing to be remodeled and as a result, the restaurant had been moved and there was a tiny, really, really tiny gift shop, and there was construction debris everywhere on the mian floor.
The hotel room wasn't too bad, except for the mold on the ceiling of the way too small shower stall. Also, the bathroom itself was tiny, especially for a king-sized room.
The view was nice if you could overlook the hwy to see the mountains.
One very bright spot -- the man who would normally be the concierge, but was acting as a desk clerk, was extremely helpful. |

| Wish I would have known that this hotel is undergoing major remodeling. Looking forward to a nice weekend away, to discover that the check-in desk was a few pieces of plywood stuck together. Appreciate that they are remodeling, but wish I would have picked another hotel for the price. Also, requested 2 rooms together; this was not done. People are quite friendly and pool is clean. |

| The room was adequate but does not live up to what I expect from a Renaissance. The room was small, probably due to the age of the hotel, however everything was maintained well. All but one staff member had exceptional customer service. Very disappointed that my Marriott rewards points were not honored due to booking through hotel.com. Renovation was in progress for the lobby and downstairs restaurant. |

| We stayed here for our anniversary, and all it took was a quick mention of that fact to the front desk staff and we got an upgraded room as well as wine and cheese in our room! The hotel was lovely. We didn't eat in the bar or restaurant, but you can walk to SO many fabulous restaurants in 15 minutes or less from the hotel. This is the perfect location for viewing downtown Asheville while staying in comfortable rooms. |

| Awesome! The hotel is great, and since it was downtown we just walked to things. Great stay! The pool and exercise room are the best I have ever used also. |
